Sutcliffe has a first-class team of engineers with a wealth of temporary works design experience.
Our engineers are able to provide advice, design and checking services for a range of temporary works and along with our extensive civil, structural and geotechnical experience, we can provide the most efficient way to offer solutions in this area.
Our drive is to provide our Clients with the highest level of service to ensure we deliver practical and economic solutions. We work closely with our Clients to develop the concept, establish a full brief and deliver their requirements.
Not all contractors have the same expertise in-house as in past years and there is a requirement to outsource the design of some of the temporary works elements.
This now includes many essentials such as hoardings, signage and crane bases, some of which have previously been constructed in a time-honoured fashion, without recourse to calculations or consideration of site conditions.
Sutcliffe offers a comprehensive service of calculations, drawings and specifications. We can visit site to discuss specific needs with site engineers to ensure a minimum disruption to day-to-day operation and to co-ordinate with the permanent works.
We offer a full design service for all temporary works uncluding:
- Facade retention
- Hoarding (incl. signage)
- Piling mats
- Crane foundations
- Excavation and shoring
- Retaining walls
- Back propping
- Slope stability
