Project challenges

One of the significant challenges was integrating essential accessibility features, such as two lifts, wide mobility-friendly corridors, and a scooter store, while ensuring that the design remained both practical and aesthetically pleasing. Additionally, creating communal areas and landscaped gardens that are fully accessible and inviting required precise planning and execution.

Sutcliffe also addressed site constraints effectively, ensuring that all engineering solutions were implemented to maintain the project’s schedule and quality standards. Our efforts not only ensured a functional and well-engineered care home but also supported the project’s broader social goals.

The project had a substantial social impact, providing over 1,500 work opportunities for young people through site visits, construction workshops, and career fairs. Sutcliffe’s involvement included facilitating these opportunities and contributing to community projects, demonstrating our commitment to both quality engineering and social responsibility.
