Tytherington School

Cheshire East Council

Appointed by Cheshire East Council to design a two-storey classroom block at Tytherington School. Preconstruction surveys confirmed the use of strip foundations, while a CCTV survey revealed the need for a sewer diversion. The project utilised modular construction to address rising steel costs and was completed in spring 2022 after delays due to pandemic-related supply chain issues. The new block provides essential additional teaching space for the school's pupil reorganisation.

Tytherington School

Sutcliffe was appointed by Cheshire East Council to deliver the structural design for a new two-storey classroom block at Tytherington School. The preconstruction surveys confirmed that strip foundations were adequate for the site, but a CCTV drainage survey identified a private sewer running beneath the proposed building. To avoid disruption, Sutcliffe designed a sewer diversion to ensure the drainage system remained fully operational during construction.
