A team of colleagues from Sutcliffe Engineers are currently training to take part in an exhilarating fundraising campaign to raise much needed funds for Alder Hey Children’s Hospital in Liverpool.

This summer, Javier Gonzalez, Simon Hughes, Andy Day, Cameron Dorrian, Michael Greensmith and Simon Hodge will set out to conquer the Coniston Challenge – a triathlon with a twist.

Set in the beautiful Lake District, The Coniston Challenge consists of a 10km trek up the Old Man of Coniston, 17km bike ride through the Grizedale Forest, and a 3km kayak across Coniston Water. Taking place in July, team Sutcliffe are ready for the ultimate test of heights, endurance and courage.

They are aiming to help raise 10k in support of Alder Hey Children’s Charity – who raise vital funds for the 330,000 patients and families they care for each year. Since April 2013, over £56m has been raised for a range of life-saving medical equipment and facilities that are making a real difference to families every day.

Let’s continue to raise money for such a vital charity that continues to make a real difference to families every day, and support the world class, patient friendly hospital we are lucky to have in the heart of Liverpool.
