Aintree University Hospital Extension

The Aintree Hospital project, part of the Liverpool University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, involves key upgrades to enhance patient care and efficiency. This includes the addition of a new CT scanner, expanded ambulance bays, and a refurbished theatre complex. These improvements are crucial for supporting the Cheshire and Merseyside Major Trauma Centre, which serves 2.3 million people.

The construction features a steel frame with composite concrete floors, supported by piled foundations. Despite the challenge of working within a live hospital environment, the project was successfully coordinated to ensure minimal disruption while delivering a durable and efficient infrastructure.
