Sutcliffe was part of the team that developed the state-of-the-art Jubilee Centre in Bolton, transforming adult care services in the area. This new facility supports adults with learning difficulties, physical disabilities, and autism, and has become a key community resource. Designed with input from service users and their families, the centre features hydrotherapy pools, therapy rooms, social areas, a sensory garden, and outdoor classrooms.

Jubilee Centre

Sutcliffe contributed Civil and Structural Engineering services to the Jubilee Centre project in Bolton, a new facility that significantly enhances adult care services. The project involved designing both substructure and superstructure elements for the centre, which includes features such as hydrotherapy pools, therapy rooms, social areas, a sensory garden, and outdoor classrooms.

Our work included designing the below-ground drainage systems for both foul and surface water, as well as managing surface water diversions. Additionally, we designed the external works sub-base to match the architect’s layout, levels, and surface finishes.

Completed in 2023, the Jubilee Centre has become a pivotal community resource, reflecting careful consideration of user needs and delivering a high-quality facility for Bolton.
