Project challenges

Navigating the challenges of working in a live healthcare environment, we meticulously planned and executed multiple phases of enabling works and sectional completions. This approach was designed to minimise disruption to ongoing hospital operations and was carried out in close consultation with the Trust.

Our focus on sustainability was evident in the design, which included considerations for whole life cycle costs and effective surface water drainage. We implemented drainage solutions to limit off-site flows to greenfield runoff rates, aligning with environmental goals. Additionally, the project achieved BIM Level 2, enhancing collaboration and providing clear benefits to all stakeholders through improved coordination and data management.
