Our team at Sutcliffe is welcoming a growing portfolio working within the healthcare sector with numerous successful projects including major hospital sites, medical centres, PCT (Primary Care Training) centres and health centres. Due to the ever changing treatments and technologies, we are meeting the demand by providing cutting edge designs within both the public and private sector. One of our aims within this sector of work is to continue to deliver state-of-the-art medical facilities in a cost-effective way that are able to stand the test of time as the healthcare industry evolves and advances.

We have experience working on primary care, secondary care and specialist treatment facilities to meet the demands of growing and ageing population. Through our work in theatre upgrades, PCT centres, dementia units, A&E departments and the new Neonatal intensive care unit at Liverpool Women’s Hospital through P22 we have firmly established a valued reputation on both a local and national scale.

Sutcliffe is responsible for the refurbishment and construction of the new extension to the existing emergency department at Wythenshawe Hospital in order to increase its capacity. The A&E department’s extension will consist of a 1-3 storey steel frame with a link bridge that connects the new build to the old. As part of our commitment to sustainability, the building will be designed to consider the life cycle costs and surface water drainage
