Congratulations to our director, Billy Baldwin who has been shortlisted as Male Newcomer of the Year in the Downtown in Business Livercool Awards 2022.

Coming up to his 34th year, William joined the Sutcliffe family in 1989 and is primarily involved in projects for the social housing sector and oversees the Geotechnical and Environmental Department. He is proud to have worked his way up the company ladder from a graduate engineer on the YTS scheme to company director. 

He works closely alongside his team to maintain the highest possible design standards and has played a pivotal role in helping to establish Sutcliffe as a lead consultant in the North West.

Adaptable, personable and full of character, William has developed long-standing relationships with local partners, clients, professional teams and contractors that have been key to Sutcliffe’s enduring success over the last three decades.

Arguably Billy’s greatest skill is his ability to find solutions to the trickiest of problems. He is regularly consulted by his colleagues on finding the ‘best way forward’. Having worked in the construction industry for over 30 years his historical knowledge of geotechnical and environmental issues across the North West of England is second to none.
